Bio
My name is Darrell Stewart. I am a Graphic Designer in Fulshear, Texas, seeking an ideal position that allows me to grow within the company. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, from the Art Institute of Houston - North in September of 2016. I am highly experienced in all computer software and hardware. I specialize in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I am very motivated to succeed, and I love working with others to accomplish a job or task. I have great work ethics, and I take pride in everything I do. My design strengths include creating banners, logos, flyers, automobile art, portraits, advertising, animation, and architectural designs. I have created designs for local government agencies, private individuals, organizations/clubs, and small businesses.
I am a Christian man, and I put God first in my life always. I was born in Galveston, Texas, and my family and I later moved to Houston TX. I went to Mission Bend Elementary in Fort Bend County, then to Hodges Bend Middle School. In middle school, I started playing sports and doing art at the same time. I was very busy! I was an All American, playing basketball, football, track, and baseball. I excelled in all sports in which I participated. In 1996, I began high school at Stephen F. Austin High School. There, I was accepted into the most advanced art class, and I also had my work placed at different locations around the Sugar Land area. I drew a picture of a woman feeding her infant, which became very popular, being awarded first place in a contest and placed in a hospital near downtown. In high school, I played basketball, football, and track. I graduated in 2000 and went to the Art Institute of Houston for one year, but instead of completing my education at that time I was inspired to join the Armed Forces in 2001 after the twin towers of the World Trade Center were attacked. I enlisted in the United States Navy for 4 years, traveling all over the world and participating in the Iraq Freedom war. I was honorably discharged in 2006 and moved to Shreveport, Louisiana, where I continued to serve the community as a Deputy Sheriff for 8 years before returning to the Houston area to complete my law enforcement career and education.
